Real Talk Youth Impact Program

Real Talk is dedicated to guiding youth in Southern Nevada by keeping children out of the juvenile justice system through positive role models, strong family values, and engagement in extracurricular activities.

Our programs have proven successful in reducing recidivism among youth who have entered the juvenile justice system.

About Us

Our program is centered on monthly meetings designed to enlighten, encourage, and empower at-risk youth to become tomorrow's leaders. Participants are expected to attend four monthly Change One meetings and one mandatory career prep class. 

These sessions feature monthly speakers as well as a closing guest speaker, each sharing personal life experiences to inspire, encourage, and motivate youth to become productive citizens.

Real Talk is full of raw honesty and humor! Readers will learn that human kindness is alive and well as they read the many examples of people cheering the author on in spite of her humble beginnings.

It is more than appropriate to say that Sheree has truly turned tragedy into triumph with the growing number of youth Real Talk has impacted thus far. In addition to seeing her brothers choose lives of crime, Sheree’s previous careers give her special insight into the lives of at-risk youth. Her professional life drew her to dedicate herself to serving children and teens. Later she supervised (with stern understanding) juvenile and adult offenders as a youth parole officer and federal probation officer.

Real Talk Youth Impact Program of Nevada was founded in 2012 by Sheree Corniel and joined by our founder Eric after his release from federal prison. Though an unlikely alliance, a former federal probation officer and a convicted felon, both recognized the severe need for change in a neglected and malfunctioning system which causes more cime than it resolves. Real Talk operates from the tough streets of Las Vegas to the tougher streets south of the border, in El Savador, making future leaders through business education. 

This book is dedicated to those who are lost. Maybe you feel like you are in the dark, broken, confused, tired of being tired, or plain exhausted. Maybe you question your existence, want to give up, or have thoughts of suicide. Whatever negative views you may have about yourself, I believe this book will help empower you to get rid of these emotions. I can’t wait for you to soar like an eagle once you gain the confidence to spread your wings and climb to the highest peaks of your life.

I have an extreme passion for youth and want to afford them an opportunity for a positive change, as someone did for me as a youth growing up in Carson, California. I believe it is my duty to give back to the youth in Nevada and across the nation. I love to inspire and encourage others to take their time, talent, and treasure to the next level. My inspiring character and words of wisdom are used as a platform to help people find their true selves inside of them.
